Berean Alumni Spotlight: Hannah Roberts, Class of 2018

Berean Christian School is proud of the many alumni who are using their gifts and talents to serve others around the world. One of those alumni is Hannah Roberts, a 2018 graduate of Berean Christian School and a 2022 graduate of Lee University.

Since September 2022, Hannah has been serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Salem, Oregon. In August 2026, she will be moving to Amsterdam in the Netherlands to continue her ministry work. Her focus ministry is End Bible Poverty Now, which works to increase access to Scripture and Bible study resources around the world and to train the next generation of Bible teachers to go to the nations.

Hannah shared that her passion for missions and the nations began while she was still a student at Berean. During her senior year, she traveled to Spain, Italy, and France on a school trip. That experience helped shape her heart for global ministry and missions.

“My first trip overseas was to Spain, Italy, and France with Berean during my senior year. Post-grad, I knew I wanted to continue seeing more of the world purposefully. God unexpectedly called me into full-time ministry shortly before I graduated college, and He has given me great purpose in discipling others through the Word of God,” Hannah shared.

As a full-time missionary with YWAM, Hannah raises her own financial support. She is currently preparing to apply for a residency permit to live in the Netherlands for three years, which requires proof of monthly income. She is currently looking for additional monthly partners to join her support team as she prepares for this next step in ministry.

Hannah shared that she is not only looking for financial partners, but also for people who want to be personally connected to her ministry and be part of what God is doing through her work.

A word from Hannah Financial Needs:

"As a full-time missionary with YWAM, I support-raise my entire income. I am preparing to apply for my residency permit to live in the Netherlands for three years, but this requires proof of monthly income for those three years. I am about $283/month away from meeting this income requirement, a goal I am needing to meet by March 30 in order to apply for my permit on time. My greatest need in this season is more monthly partnerships. If 5 more people joined my team for $50/month, or 3 more people for $100/month, I would be fully funded for the next three years! I’ve attached a copy of the donor pledge form I need to submit with my permit application for each new supporter.

I wanted to share these financial needs, as you likely have access to a wider network with the Berean community and alumni. I have found that many people are willing to give, yet do not know where or how. I am not just seeking financial relationships, but personal relationships, with my monthly partners. It because of their generosity that I am able to serve where God has called me and I want them to understand the value of their contributions.
