Academic excellence involves the pursuit of an ever-improving learning environment where all students can demonstrate academic growth. BCS features a small classroom environment, averaging fewer than 20 students per class. This gives children an opportunity to experience more individual attention to their needs and learning styles. BCS also aligns its instruction to state benchmarks and national standards, all through a Biblical worldview. In doing so, our students have the privilege of understanding the world in which they live from a meaningful and eternal perspective.
The biblical worldview is the governing perspective that God is the source of all truth, and He has revealed in the Bible everything we need to know for life and godliness. The Bible is at the core of what BCS teaches, and encouraging students to develop a biblical worldview is integrated daily into the classroom. Students are equipped with the virtues needed to evaluate situations and empower them to impact their culture for Christ. The integration of biblical faith and learning is at the core of what we do.
Christian character is the expression of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-26). Christian character is revealed in the attitudes and actions of students in the form of faith, integrity, unity, joy, and much more. Our Bible curriculum and chapel programs are used at BCS to promote unity and biblical character education. The program includes core biblical values that equip our students to live a Christian life in a challenging and demanding world. Berean Christian School focuses on strengthening the minds of students and encouraging the development of Christ-like characteristics in each student.
