LIZ PALMER

Liz Palmer is a Speech-Language Pathologist who received her Masters at The University of Tennessee.  She thanks God for giving her a passion for children, for families, and for sports!  She started volunteering with the SOAR Program in 2011, but officially joined the SOAR Team in 2016 as a coordinator and  teacher. She is currently the lower campus Soar director and works with all of the Soar students in the Elementary School at some level . Liz is also the Assistant Girls High School  Basketball coach. She and her husband, Eric, have two children, Gracie and Matthew, who are both students in the High School at Berean.  She is so thankful and excited that God has provided her with these opportunities here at Berean!  She finds joy in serving others and helping individuals become all that God has called them to be!

Liz is certified in the Teacher Training Level of Orton Gillingham and is currently working towards her Associate Level Certification of Orton Gillingham.

HOLLY BRUMMETTE

Holly Brummette joined the faculty of Berean in 2005 and appreciates the wonderful families and staff that she has met through the years.   She received her B.S. in Education from the University of TN, Knoxville and is trained in the Orton Gillingham method. She is an ACSI and state of TN certified teacher. She has experience teaching in public schools and adult education. She taught 2nd and 3rd grades for many years at Berean before becoming part of the Soar program in 2018.  Her aim is to help her students find the joy in knowing Christ and discovering the talents and abilities He has given them. She and Mark have four grown boys, a dog, and two cats. She enjoys reading, hiking, family time, and the beach.

PAM DUNCAN

Pam graduated from The University of Tennessee in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Learning and Behavior.   She has worked in both public and private schools in various different roles.  She came to work in Bereans SOAR program in the fall of 2018 and became the Upper Campus SOAR Director in the fall of 2019.  One of her greatest desires is to instill in all students that God in his great wisdom and love created everyone unique and with special gifts and talents and to help them find out what he wants them to do with those gifts and talens.  She and her husband, Bill, have five children with the youngest two, Savannah and Braxton, attending Berean.  She is honored to get be a part of such a special program at a fantastic school.

STEPHANIE ADAMS

Stephanie Adams has is on the SOAR team at Berean and has four prior years experience in the classroom. Before teaching, she was a Family Development Specialist and Small Groups Coordinator for several counseling services in West Tennessee. Stephanie received her Biblical Studies degree from Christ for the Nations College, and her Sociology degree from Dallas Baptist University. She and her husband Scottie have two children, Bella and Jonah.

RACHEL FOSHEE

Rachel is so excited to be a part of Berean. She studied Special Education K-8 Intervention and Elementary Education at Carson-Newman University. She has a unique experience in growing up as a student of the Berean Christian School Independent Study Program as well as attending BCS. She is married her wonderful husband, Trey. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she really enjoys running, photography, and disc golf (she's still learning). Rachel is so looking forward to meeting each of you and building relationships as we move forward this year!

RACHEL CARROLL

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Dance Education from Central Washington University in 2017. Rachel earned her Master of Arts in English Literature & Writing from
Eastern Washington University where she also worked as an Academic Coach
supporting college students in their education. Rachel completed the Orton-Gillingham Approach training
in July 2022 and is excited to be a part of Berean's SOAR program! Her goal is to nurture her students in a Christ-centered learning environment that welcomes students of all learning abilities. When not at work, Rachel can be found at home spending time with family or enjoying one of her many favorite
activities such as dancing, reading, sewing, or hiking.
