Position Overview
Berean is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our facilities team as a Full-Time Janitor. In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is attentive to detail, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.

Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.

Empty trash receptacles and manage recycling programs.

Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces.

Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.

Address minor maintenance issues or report them to the maintenance manager.

Ensure all areas of the school are secure at the end of each shift.

Assist with setting up for school events and activities.

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Prior experience in custodial or janitorial services is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
