Middle / High School SOAR Academic Support Specialist
Berean Christian School is seeking a passionate and student-centered individual to serve as an Academic Support Specialist in the Upper Campus SOAR Department. The SOAR Program supports students with dyslexia and other language-based learning challenges within a fast-paced, college-preparatory environment grounded in grace and a Christ-centered mission.
Responsibilities include:

Overseeing and monitoring middle and high school student accommodation plans

Serving as a liaison between teachers, students, and parents

Providing daily executive functioning support, scaffolding, and academic coaching for students

Collaborating with the Upper Campus faculty and staff to develop individualized supports and strategies that promote student success

Building meaningful relationships with middle and high school students while encouraging growth, confidence, and independence
Qualified candidates should be organized, flexible, relational, and passionate about supporting diverse learners. Experience working with middle and high school students and/or within a learning center environment is preferred. Candidates must also be willing to obtain Orton-Gillingham certification or an equivalent training.
