Nearly 2 years ago, we began to dream of a significant enhancement to our program that speaks directly to our core value of making a social impact for Christ. Our upperclassmen have reaped great benefits from an overseas trip for years, but we sensed a need to expand the options and number of opportunities our students had at all levels of high school.
This past Impact Week we experienced the fruition of those dreams and hard work with Impact 2018. We sent our entire high school into the world to experience, observe, serve, and explore God’s creation. What an amazing week it was, and as the stories unfold and are shared, we are seeing evidence that our kids had many peak moments of connection and engagement that transformed their world views in remarkable ways. Charles Studd once said, “The light that shines the farthest, shines the brightest near home.” Our prayer is that what your children experienced this past week has brightened their “light” and forever changed their perspective and belief that they CAN impact their world for Christ.
I want to formally acknowledge and express appreciation for the countless hours the faculty gave to planning the meaningful experiences of Impact 2018 and pray you will encourage them as you reap the benefits of their investment in your children outside the classroom. I’m also extremely grateful to Linda Halley, our Impact Coordinator, who saw to all the details of the initiative that contributed to a successful week. While there was much learned in this inaugural year, your patience and communication were so appreciated in helping us navigate 8 different groups. If you have additional feedback, please email Linda (email@example.com) or me.
We are already looking to broaden and deepen next spring’s experiences and hope you will prayerfully consider what God has in store for your student as He reveals himself more fully.
SAVE THE DATE: IMPACT 2019 is coming … March 11-March 15, 2019
Thank you for entrusting your precious children to us. What a joy it is to partner with you in such a powerful way as to impact our world for Christ. On the journey,
