Berean Christian School offers competitive swimming through our athletic department. Our swim team is co-ed and our swimmers are part of the Knox-area Interscholastic Swim League.
The team, made up of middle school and high school students, competes in Dual and Tri team meets with teams from the Knoxville area, as well as Maryville and Lenoir City. The swim season runs from October through February. At the end of the season we compete in the KISL city championships, and last year, sent 11 swimmers to compete in the state championships.
In December 2013, Berean started co-hosting the Ray Bussard Invitational Meet at the University of Tennessee’s Allan Jones Pool. This is an annual event that in 2015 had over 750 swimmers competing from as far away as Atlanta. This is a USA-Observed event and allows non-USA swimmers to have a chance to participate in a bigger meet.
In 2014 and 2015, our high school swim team placed first in their division at the KISL city-wide championship meet.
Our swim team is coached by Ben Wilson Myher.
