SOAR
Berean's SOAR program offers the only all-day, contained classroom experience for struggling dyslexic students in Knoxville and East Tennessee and, as a result, is uniquely positioned to give these students what they need to succeed. We understand that every student has unique learning requirements and we tailor our school’s programs to meet the various needs of our students. We foster learning with our small class size.
One important way that we meet the needs of students in our area is through our SOAR Program. SOAR, which was launched in 2011, stands for Specialized instruction providing Opportunities for daily success which Allows our students to Reach their full potential.
SOAR offers Knoxville’s first specialized classroom designed exclusively for these students. SOAR teaches grade-level curriculum in conjunction with the traditional classroom.
Initial struggles with reading and writing can produce long-term challenges, but the SOAR program provides early intervention and proactively equips students with the necessary tools so they can succeed not only in these subject areas, but also in others where language acts as an integral building block.
