Our SWAT Team is Shining Brightly


Berean Christian School’s SWAT team (Servants with a Task) recently challenged the student body with raising money for Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship which reaches out to the children of prisoners and their families through the love of Christ. After the first day of a “change war,” they raised enough money to provide Christmas gifts as well as money for crafts for the Angel Tree party, for which many of the SWAT members volunteered.

Shortly after this, the Gatlinburg fires occurred. The SWAT team decided to continue their efforts in fundraising by setting a goal of $1000 to help those affected by the fires. $1000 is a lofty goal for a small middle school, but by Monday December 12th, only one week after the goal was set, they reached it!

We are so proud of the generous hearts and determined spirits of all the members of our SWAT team! We are also grateful for Mrs. Candace Marshall, who leads this fearless bunch.
