On Tuesday, February 6, Berean Christian School senior, Dani Glies signed a contract to play women’s soccer for Johnson University. Dani has played defender on Berean’s varsity squad for the past two years and has also been a member of the varsity basketball team. Dani is known for her outspoken and coachable personality. In addition, she possesses a strong work ethic on the field and in the classroom, which Johnson head coach, Mason McNally, says makes her “the perfect candidate” for Johnson University. Glies plans to major in education.
Before coming to Berean, Glies attended University Christian School in Jacksonville, Florida, where she competed for two years in varsity cross country, varsity track, and varsity soccer and was also on the honor roll. Prior to that, she attended Ben Lippen in South Carolina and was also on the honor roll there
She’s been supported by her family throughout her academic and athletic journey. Dani’s parents are Buzz and Darla, who have been in education for 22 and 13 years, respectively. Both currently teach at Berean Christian School. Her brother, David, is pursuing studies at South College, and her other siblings Dylan and Dora are current Berean students.
