But Jesus called them to Him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles
lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not
be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,
and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of
Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for
many.” Matt. 20:25-28

Berean Family,
Leadership has many definitions. One of the simplest definitions of a leader is that
people are following him or her. The question I have for my heart is am I following
Jesus and is that reflected in my service and leadership?
Jesus’ encouragement to His disciples is that a world-minded leader will take the
approach that might makes right. Jesus (who, by the way, is all-powerful)
contrasts that with the kingdom-minded leader, who is a servant.
At Berean Christian School, we want to lead well. That means we want to serve
well. This tone is set by the Berean Bible Church elder board, the Berean Christian
School board, the administration, and the teachers. We are here to serve your
families and pray that we would put the teaching of the verses above into action.

We serve a big and creative God! While there are many decisions and judgment
calls that need to be made within our school, I am grateful for a team to work with
that desires to serve and lead. Let us know how to help support your family in this
process of education and encouragement. Thank you for your prayers and
partnership this school year.
