10th Grade


Our 10th Grade Summer Reading Program requires upcoming 10th grade students to read at least one book before returning to school in August. Honors students in 10th grade are required to read two books before returning to school in August.

Required Reading for all 10th Grade students:
Night by Elie Wiesel

Night is the basis for discussion, work, activities and the first essay when school resumes in August. The accompanying worksheet “Revolt Decision Guide” must also be completed by the first day of school.

Required Reading for 10th Grade Honors students:
Night by Elie Wiesel
The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway

Along with reading Night and completing the worksheet “Revolt Decision Guide,” honors students must also read Old Man and the Sea and complete the “Conflict Chart.” Both books and worksheets must be completed by the first day of school.
