Mandy Aldmon

  • Bio: Mandy Aldmon majored in physical education and minored in English at the University of Tennessee. Afterwards, she went on to teach English at Crown College, Temple Baptist Academy and Seymour Community Christian School, where she also taught girls physical education. We are excited to now have her here at BCS as a high school English Teacher. Mandy and her husband, Tom, have a son, Thomas, and a daughter, Hannah. She enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with her family, and being on the lake.

Doug Andrews

  • Bio: Doug Andrews comes to Berean after teaching for many years in many different places. After graduating from Concordia University in Ann Arbor Michigan in 1996, he went on to teach in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Winston-Salem. Now he's in Knoxville where he teaches high school science at Berean. When not teaching, Mr. Andrews enjoys reading, running and watching sports.

Michael Brown

  • Bio: After receiving a degree in Communication Arts from Bryan College, Michael Brown spent two years working as an actor/bookkeeper for the Bijou Theater in downtown Knoxville. In March of 2004, then Berean headmaster Wade Ewing contacted him about the possibility of becoming the drama teacher for the high school. Mr. Brown jumped at the chance to join in the family legacy of educating at Berean Christian School and began the next fall as the high school’s history and drama teacher. He is currently working on getting his M.A.T. in Secondary Education through Liberty University.

Sherry Crumley

  • Bio: Math and physics instructor Sherry Crumley received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She and her husband Chris have twin sons, Ryan and Alex - both are students at Berean Christian School. Mrs. Crumley enjoys tennis, swimming and reading.

Chris Goebel

  • Bio: Chris Goebel graduated from Columbia International University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Bible Teaching (MABT). He is chair for the Bible Department at Berean and also teaches the Financial Management Course for the High School. Mr. Goebel received his student teaching experience at Charlotte Christian School, Ben Lippen School and Covenant Christian Academy. He and his wife Megan live in Knoxville.

Linda Halley

  • Bio: After attending Cedarville University for three years, Linda Halley graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1981 with a B.S. in secondary education. She completed additional undergraduate work at the University of Valencia, Spain and Ohio State University. Mrs. Halley taught middle school at West Park Baptist Academy as well as high school Spanish, English, and family living at Temple Baptist Academy. She homeschooled her three children through the eighth grade and is currently teaching Spanish I, Spanish II, and Spanish II Honors at Berean. She has the privilege of accompanying juniors and seniors on a two week trip to Europe every other year. This is her twelfth year at Berean. In addition to teaching, Linda is the sponsor for the Student Leadership Panel and is passionate about developing “next generation Christian leaders.” Mrs. Halley enjoys travel, theatre, reading, boating and gardening.

Tab Jordan

  • Bio: After earning a degree in Art/Graphic Design, Tab Jordan worked as an art director in advertising for eight years. During that time, he also served as a part-time youth pastor and later made a career change to full time Youth Ministry, where he spent 13 years leading various youth events and founding a citywide home-missions service project. He presently teaches Bible, Biblically integrated History, and Journalism at Berean. Mr. Jordan’s expertise comes from the union of his art/advertising degree, his Biblical studies at Columbia International University, and his study of education methods through Walden University. Committed to guiding students to a proper relationship with God, self, and others, Mr. Jordan is actively involved on campus as lead coach of the HS Girls Basketball team.  He believes that extra-curricular activities enhance the curriculum of the school, provide student participation and leadership as well as parent involvement and positive publicity. He and his wife, Becky (also a teacher at Berean) have two sons, Isaac and Noah.

Mary Randolph

  • Bio: Mary Randolph graduated from Columbia International University with a Bachelor of Science degree and then went on to receive her MAT. She completed her student teaching at Hilton Head Academy as well as Ben Lippen School and Covenant Christian Academy. She teaches Spanish and Bible at Berean. Gwen Taylor

  • Bio: Having received a B.A. degree from Bob Jones University, Gwen Taylor served almost thirty years as a missionary in Brazil with New Tribes Mission. During her last twelve years of service, she taught missionary kids in middle and high school at the New Tribes Mission School Vianopolis. Upon returning to the U.S. because of her husband’s health, she completed a master’s degree in education. Since 2000, Mrs. Taylor has enjoyed the privilege of teaching English at Berean Christian School. In her spare time, Mrs. Taylor enjoys reading.

Susan Wallis

  • Bio: After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Tennessee, Susan Wallis developed an interest in deaf culture and sign language. This prompted her to earn a Master’s Degree in Special Education and she taught at the Tennessee School for the Deaf for nine years. As the result of a deepening faith and strong desire to share her faith more openly with her students, Wallis took a position at Berean Christian School where she taught 5th grade for seven years. Mrs. Wallis is now the high school principal and teaches algebra and calculus. She and her husband have five children and attend Fellowship Church.
