  • Bio: Lisa Blumberg holds a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in Bible from Cedarville University. She had the privilege of attending Christian schools from Kindergarten through college and has taught at Berean Christian School for more than 20 years. Lisa and her husband Ed have been married for more than 16 years and they have two daughters, Betsy and Jenna. Some of her interests include reading, playing board games, swimming and watching movies.

Holly Brummette

  • Bio: Holly Brummette earned her Bachelor of Science in education with high honors from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She taught in the Oak Ridge school system as well as the Knox County Adult Education program before coming to Berean Christian School. She is certified as a teacher through the state of Tennessee and ACSI. She loves to travel, read, and run. Holly and her husband, Mark, have four sons.

  • Bio: Ruth Cooke worked in the public school system for more than 16 years, with six years in special education. She has been married for 39 years and has four children and 14 grandchildren. Ruth started as a substitute teacher at Berean Christian School in 2014 and is now the kindergarten aid. “I believe in working in the lives of children to help mold their minds and hearts toward God. I’m blessed to be a part of Berean Christian School’s staff.” Mrs. Cooke enjoys reading, traveling and playing with her grandchildren. Andrea Donley

  • Bio: Andrea Donley majored in Elementary Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, where she also received minors in TESL, Math, Language Arts and Science. She then taught 5th grade at New Life Christian Academy, and now she's here at BCS teaching first grade. Andrea enjoys soccer, reading, traveling, being with friends and family, journaling and playing games.

  • Bio: Kim Foland received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from the University of Tennesee. She has been teaching Kindergarten for 20 years and taught with Knox County schools before coming to Berean Christian. She enjoys reading, walking, stamping crafts, Tennessee football and spending time with family.

Amanda Hickman

  • Bio: Amanda Hickman received her teaching degree from Carson Newman University. She then went on to teach 3rd and 4th grades at Concord Christian School and then 4th and 5th grades at Shannondale Elementary School. She and her husband, Corey have a son, Benson, and a daughter, Amelia. Amanda enjoys spending time with family, being outside and shopping.

Teresa Johnson

  • Bio: After graduating from Carson-Newman University with a bachelor’s degree in 1993, Teresa Johnson began teaching first grade at Sevier County Schools. She also began working on her M.Ed. at Carson-Newman. Mrs. Johnson continued to teach for seven years until she decided to stay home with her children in 2001. When her children began attending Berean, Johnson became a teacher’s aide and was later offered a position as a 5th grade teacher. She currently teaches 4th grade at Berean. Teresa accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of 11 after attending a church camp. She and her husband, Joshua, have a son, Corbin, and daughter, Regan.

Becky Jordan

  • Bio: Becky Jordan earned a bachelor’s degree from Carson-Newman University and went on to complete postgraduate work at Cumberland University. In the 20 years she has been teaching Early Childhood/Elementary Education, she has gained valuable experience with pre-k and elementary students, as well as abused and neglected children. She believes that her purpose in Christian education is to begin building a foundation for the appropriate wealth of knowledge so students will know who and what they are intended to be within the plan of God. Mrs. Jordan and her husband, Tab — a fellow BCS teacher — have two sons, Isaac and Noah.

Renee Kohagen

  • Bio: Renee Kohagen earned her B.S. from Carson-Newman University and then earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. She taught first grade in Sevier County for more than eight years. After becoming a mother, she was a full time parent until she joined the Berean Christian School family. She is certified for K-8 in Tennessee and ASCI. She leads the ladies Bible study every Sunday at First Baptist Church in Sevierville, where’s she’s been a member for many years. She is married with two daughters, Jenna and Lauren, who both attend Berean. Renee enjoys reading, photography, visiting the beach, and laughing. But most of all, she loves the Lord. Jessica Marrero

  • Bio: Jessica Marrero earned her B.S. of Human Growth and Learning with Cum Laude honors from Tusculum College and is certified to teach grades K-8. Jessica taught in the Knox County School System for more than three years teaching the third grade at Blue Grass Elementary. She is married with two sons, Cruz and Alec. Jessica is a member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church and is involved in the choir program. She also loves to run in local races -- 5Ks, 10Ks and 1/2 marathons.

Susan Trotter

  • Bio: Susan Trotter received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Emory & Henry and then went on to receive a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UT-Knoxville. She taught 6th grade for ten years at North Middle School in Lenoir City, TN and three years as a fifth grade teacher in Weston, FL. She and her husband, John have three sons and twin grandsons. She enjoys spending time with family, walking her dog, Bella, crafts and reading.

Frank (Win) Weldon

  • Bio: After Win Weldon earned his bachelor degrees from William Carey and Frostburg State, he went on the earn his masters at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Win has taught a variety of grades in several Christian schools and has been involved in children’s ministry and music. His passion is teaching, but he also enjoys walking, cooking, playing musical instruments, and spending time with his family. Win also serves as the pianist at Calvary Baptist Church Alcoa. Annelise Wheeler

  • Bio: Annelise (Annie) Wheeler majored in International Studies with a minor in Elementary Education at the University of South Carolina. From there, she went on to teach 3rd grade for three years at Northside Christian Academy, where she was also the cheer coach. Now a 4th grade teacher at BCS, she’s eager to share her passion for education and for children’s ministry. When she’s not teaching, Ms. Wheeler enjoys music, traveling and playing with her dog, Lila.

Cheryl Wilson

  • Bio: Cheryl Wilson earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and attended continuing education classes at Regent University. Mrs. Wilson has ministered to preschool and primary aged school children for more than 10 years. She previously taught kindergarten and currently serves as a teacher’s aide. She and her husband, Fahron, have four children — three are graduates of BCS and one will graduate 2017. Cheryl enjoys camping and reading.
